Decision has been made for people fighting arms on February 17th in Drenas

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has ruled for detention of 7 persons, involved in an armed clash in Drenas on February 17th this year.

The 1 month detention measure is scheduled for defendants Skender Djelici, Hal, Shaip, Mendrit, Fadil, Arben and Freedom Topalli.

The Mendrit defendants, Fadil, Arben and Freedom Topalli, under this trial, will keep the detention at medical clinics in which they are hospitized because of their state of health, and after improving their condition, “the same amount of detention will be kept at the detention centre which the Directorate of Prisons” reports.

The decision suggests that defendant Mendrit Topalli is located at QKUK, responsible for the Torakal Surgery Clinic, and that the same is in serious health condition, but has been able to make a statement. Likewise, the state of health and other defendants, Fadil Topalli, located at the Abdominal Clinic, is grave and has been unable to make a statement.

The defendant Djeul, on the basis of the statement given to justice bodies, has said that 6 other people, named Topalli, have not even known them.

Meanwhile, defendant Halit Topalli, in his testimony in the case, has said that earlier some children of their family have had a small problem at school with the Rooster family children.

The other defendant, Shaip Topalli, has given the same testimony as Halit Topalli in connection with the case, while stressing that “does not know who attacked Scyter”.

And the defendant Mendrit Topalli, who was injured in this case, in his testimony, has rejected the prosecution's request for the detention action because, as he says, we went out that day to celebrate Kosovo's independence, and we're on our way to the health house and then home, when Skender Djelic came to the car where I was and shot me with a <x1.

The court suspects defendants can repeat the work, so it has decided to keep them in custody for a month.
