The president of the Republic of Croatia, Kollinda Grabar-Kitarovic, on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence has sent a letter of congratulations to the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.
Full letter:
Your Honor. President,
I warmly thank you for your letter to which you invite me to the solemn ceremony of marking the 10th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, which will be held on February 18th in 2018 in Pristina.
Unfortunately, because of the previously agreed state obligations, I will not be able to be present at the supposed event. I also want to inform you that at the solemn ceremony of the 10th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, I will be represented by Mrs. Marija Kapitanovic, ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Kosovo.
You, Mr. President, would like to succeed in this important anniversary, which is extremely important for your country and all the Kosovo people. The Republic of Croatia strongly supports the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the realisation of membership in Euro-Atlantic integrations.
I hope that we will soon have a case where we can exchange our thoughts, both for the prospects of further advancement and our reports and on important issues, which contribute to stabilisation of the situation in Southeast Europe and the completion of the European unification project.
