Jahjaga said that at the beginning of her mandate, due in 2011, a gift had been brought to her office worth thousands of euros.
“has been a gift which has been worth thousands of euros. If I'm not mistaken, it used to be the first or second week of my term. It's been a hand watch with a value of smell. It was from a Kosovo business”, Jahjaga told Life in Kosovo.
In Jarra's question of whether this business was of the Devoes, the former president answered yes.
Jahjaga added that she had refused this gift with official paperwork.
I once saw the value of this gift... I've requested that this gift immediately be returned, just as the state protocol sees it returned formally and with official letter”, Jahjaga said.
The show, life in Kosovo, has contacted the two Devolley family companies, the Devolli Group, owned by Blerim Devollin and the Devolli Corporation.
On this issue, the company HINA Group has responded to the official email, saying such a gift was not made by their company.
Our company never sent such gifts to former President Jahjaga or any politician.
As for information, the only gifts we give as most companies in Kosovo are the new year's packages that contain our products -- milk products and fluids -- and are dedicated only to our clients or collaborators. The value of products in the package may be about 10.00UR”, says their response.
On the other hand, the company owned by Shkelqim Devollin, Devolli Corporation, has not yet responded.
In this interview, Jahjaga also speaks of some of the most important decisions he has made as president and previously undiscovered details of his leadership.
