BBC, quoted by Eye.net, reports that “London City Airport” has closed after a war bomb World II was found near the Thames River.

The airport will be closed all day and all flights have been cancelled, which will affect 16 thousand passengers, the spokesman said.

The bomb was discovered at 5:00 GMT on Sunday in George V Doc during the envisioned works at the airport east of London, police said.
