China will take measures if India sends troops to the Maldives

If unilateral India sends troops to the Maldives, China will take steps to stop New Delhi. India should not underestimate China's opposition to unilateral military intervention,” reported by Chinese officials, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.

It comes amid a crisis of politics in Maldive, which began earlier this month, after a Supreme Court has lifted the condemnation of the opposition leader and former president in Exeil Mohammed Nashed and 12 other MPs.

President Abdulla Yamamen rejected the court's decision and decided an extraordinary situation in which he arrested two of the Supreme Court judges.

Nashed has appealed to India to send troops to Maldives to end the crisis./Periscopi/
