Albanian Foreign Minister Urges Greece to recognise Kosovo as State

We encourage all actors to move forward for solutions. Both countries will benefit from the compromise solution in this direction, and I think the same for the entire region.
We pay special attention to this issue, as there are Albanians living.
Publishing in your country and elsewhere often refers to the role of Albanians living in Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece. You have discussed these matters with Mr. Cotzias, and what has been the outcome?
Regardless of where Albanians live in the Balkans, they have testified in the past that they are vital elements of democratic stability and Euro-Atlantic perspective in our region.
The only inspiration Albanians have is related to this process, with Euro-Atlantic integrations. It is not up to the Albanian government to speak for example of relations between Greece and Kosovo.
Of course, we would welcome and promote recognition by Kosovo's Greece as a state, because we would see this as a step in the right direction and as an investment for the stability of our region (our neighbours).
