Shaban Polluza was one of the most prominent leaders of the time in Kosovo, who with his troops left the front line at the Pazar (New Bazaar) and returned to protect Drenica villages that were being massacred by Serb secularists and communist Army.
The Polish had joined his fighters and Captain Mehmet Gradica, waging a 45-day war against the Yugoslav Army. Because of intense cold, lack of ammunition, food, and medicine, the resistance of the Pollusta falls.
During the Second World War, Shaban Polluza was commander of a part of the front in Montenegro, Kolash and Sandzak of the New Bazaar, where she distinguished herself for organisation and strategy.
