The young Albanian man has not previously had a criminal record while living in Montesilvano. The amount of 17kg of drugs was divided into 9kg of marijuana and 8kg of hashish.
The 28-year-old Albanian courier was captured by Chiet police on the National Adriatica Street. After a several-mile chase, the young man driving BMW was stopped north near the Pescara border.
The 28-year-old was immediately nervous, and a backpack containing the amount of drugs was found in his search. In a search of the house where he lived, other drugs and 600 euros of cash were discovered.
