More than a thousand people are war crimes suspects in Kosovo.

In a discussion by civil society, it was said that, even though The Hague Tribunal is extraordinary, it has confirmed only part of the suspected persons.

Over a thousand people suspected of committing crimes in the recent Kosovo war continue to remain suspected.

At a table where “War Crimes Process was discussed: Regional co-operation”, founder of the Fund for Humanitarian Rights Natasa Ka persecuted, said The Hague Tribunal has accomplished only a part of the whole process, KTV reports.

Special Prosecutor Drita Hajdari has said most of these suspects are outside Kosovo.

The British Embassy's representative, Sam Paice, has said the only way is to reconcile and build bridges of co-operation among people living in this region.
Kosovo has expressed readiness for the Special Court and proved that it is not afraid of this court. However, we cannot expect results when we all know that only one prosecutor deals with war crimes. We expect the pledges of state leaders given at the Western Balkan Summit, on these topics, to be implemented”.
During the day, a civil society group has handed over criminal charges and Serbian secret files, photos of Serbian war crimes suspects, photographs of massacres on Albanians and the Gjakova municipality, and more than 700 names identified as suspected in murder, burns and rape.
