Milley, who has served as Army chief in the past three years, has been appointed to replace General Joseph Dunford, has announced Trump through a Twitter post.
I thank these two wonderful men for their country service. The transition date will be set”, Trump wrote.
Milhouse, 60, studied at Priceton University. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dunford is the former commander of the American Navy and commander of the Coalition of Troops in Afghanistan. His mandate in the position of Chief of General Staff officially expires on October 1st, 2019.
The General Staff consists of the heads of Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and National Guard. /rel
