The prestigious British newspaper “Financial Times” has today declared “Personality of the Year” billionaire and Hungarian-born philanthropist George Soros, conveys Koha.net.
“Times usually decides on the basis of achievements for year personality. In the case of Soros this year, he has established on the basis of values that he represents”, as it were.
Soros (88 years old), a Hungarian-born Jew, is described as “the father of the Hedg Fund industry (Our Investment Fund) but also as the man committed to liberal democracy and open society and that “across philanthropy has fought against authoritarianism, racism and tolerance”.
Franz Press reporting on this gratitude recalls that George Soros became the victim of nationalists and followers of conspiracy theories in Europe and the US.
