American stock markets have faced one of the worst weeks in the last decade. Tensions with China, increasing interest rates and the possibility of closing the government have affected this decline.
The three main indexes were closed in decline, while the technological index “Nasdaq” scored a 20 per cent drop since reaching the highest level. The overall decline in shares is the largest since August 2011. After several years of profit, American investors are abandoning the stake due to a number of concerns expected to hit corporate profits, indicating the decline in domestic and international growth.
Earlier this week, the State Reserve increased the interest rate and gave signs that it could grow even next year, though in smaller quantities. This institution also predicted a decline in economic growth rate from 2.5 to 2.3 percent. Markets were also touched by comments by the president's trade adviser, who told a newspaper that reaching the long-term agreement with China will be difficult to realise, writes “BBC”
