The September 11 attacks in the US, when al-Qaeda terrorists, led by Osama Bin Laden, killed thousands of Americans, have changed not only the history of that country but also the way they are controlled at airports.
Because terrorists managed to get armed to the aircraft, and then could lead to the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, passengers now have to be searched very closely by security guards.
Adding controls have caused much dissatisfaction, not only by travelers who often feel that privacy has been violated but also by employees themselves, who do not deliberately violate the other person's privacy.
