Space in front of the Faculty of Philology in Pristina is being considered by citizens and students as dangerous to be used at night, as lighting is lacking.
They say that now, when darkness falls earlier during the winter, they are afraid to move around from wanderers and people dealing with negative phenomena, reports 038 on KTV.
Citizens ask the municipality to set out enlightenment in this space as well.
However, citizens will have to wait until the project is launched to build underground parking lots in this space.
According to the director of Public Services in the municipality, Habib Qorri, lighting this part is scheduled to take place under this project, which is not known when it will start, much less when it will end.
“When the pre- Philological part that comes to the “George Bush” we know that it's planned to become another project from the municipality and now that project is in procedure we can't make any further investments there when in a short time the project will start realising”, Qorri said.
Qorri emphasises that it is the competence of the University of Pristina investment in its spaces. Despite that, according to him, the municipality, seeing the need for citizens, has placed enlightenment in half the area of the University Campus to the National Library.
I haven't seen the project yet, but the top part is planned to remain for use and return to green. As soon as it's like the park, it's going to be also light”, Qorri said.
The director announces that only the first phase of the project for enlightenment has been completed and that it will continue with spaces at the Economic and Technical Faculty.
Whatever budget we've had we're going to spend, now if there's going to be need and there's space in the future or depending on the projects we're going to develop we're still willing to do, but at the moment we're doing this. We've had a phase, and two more stages are in preparation”.
The show has also asked the UP's reactor if they plan to invest in this part, but has not received answers, although its officials had initially agreed to talk about television.
