Pristina continues to face air pollution, and numerous measures have been cited, but few have been made in reality.
The town continues to be sold through many parts of the city, reports 038 on KTV.
Sometimes it has been said that most Kosovo cars are registered in the Pristina region.
The municipality had tested the halt of George Bush cars to build a new square, but not to improve air quality, as it did at the beginning of the year.
Free transportation has not even been mentioned, although two days had been done in January, had reduced the number of cars and filled the buses.
Now, in the Ministry of Environment, they say the task-force will meet next week and there will be decided on new measures.
Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has said they are considering the cost that would come out of free transportation until he mentioned investments in the company's 51 buses.
Over 11m euros in public transport are invested, but that is not enough. Now we go through the investment phase in the private sector. We should never even think about importing cars older than 10 years. For atmospheric pressures and humidity, we don't have what we do, but for others there are choices and decisions that we as citizens make throughout the year”, Ahmeti said.
In Kosovo, during 2018, 27,761 cars were imported according to the Interior Ministry data. Of them, only 159 are from 2018, and the rest are older.
Mostly imported cars have 2008 production year-on-year, which is 4 thousand and 546.
However, cars with 30 and 40 years of age have also been imported in the country.
The oldest is 1959 or 59 years old.
