A priest from Brooklyn committed suicide within church environments, just two weeks before Christmas.
Patrick Burns' body, 57, was discovered on December 14th in the parish living room in the holy name of the Roman Catholic Church of Jesus at Windsor Terrace.
He had the cut marks in his left hand, while an empty bottle of antipsyphotic drugs Ristidone was discovered in the room, sources said.
A 16-page suicide note was also found within the church after a search sought by Father Larry Ryan, sources said.
A spokesperson for Brooklyn Diocese described death as a tragedy.
Burns reportedly struggled with health problems and spent time away from the church.
He was evacuated in 1992, and had previously served in Bushwick, Jackson Heights, Sunset Park and Corona.
