There are four Albanian military members in the first days of the Army's establishment in 1912.
I want to congratulate all the men and women who served in uniform, during 106 years of the history of the Armed Forces”, she wrote.
Albania's Armed Forces were established on 4 December 1912, a few days after the creation of the first Albanian state in Vlora. The creation of the Armed Forces came as a natural need of a sovereign, independent state and seeking to protect its border against foreign temptations.
The 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces finds this member force in NATO, serving on global peacekeeping missions alongside the Alliance's military forces in Afghanistan, the Aegean Sea, Latvia, Mali, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and elsewhere on international missions.
