The bread oven problems, sale of low-cost products, lowering the price of electricity by 50%, the 5 %th income rate from commercial banks, increased quality control of the bread, combating the informal market, where production of non-licensed products is made, set up a regulator for the price of bread, lack of professional workers and organised petition, were the topics of conference organised by Kosovo's Oda Afarism with the businesses of this sector.

OAK through a communique has announced that after consultations with this sector, it has so far collected dozens of signatures from the furnaces, making a petition which they will send to Government, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Economic Development.

The Cana ray, official at the Kosovo Afarism Oda, introduced the identified problems and provisions that have been revealed to solve these problems that furnaces are facing during their work and are being caused damage.

Cana pointed out that a regulator should be created to determine prices of essential products because of the increase in flour prices of flour, furnaces have been forced to increase the price of bread.

“The reduction of the electricity price for minimum bakers to 50%, we have Albania, which has this year made the decision for bread ovens to lower the price of electricity by 50%, that is, tariffs and prices approved by the Energy Regulatory Administration in Albania by 2018 to 0.4 Where to be 7.6 where the client at 0.4 is 14. So if we take the same tariff measures and the actual price is 11,27 WHO the baker is 56,35 WHO. According to the law on electricity, Article 5 paragraph 1: The regulator, or government, depending on the areas of their responsibility can establish public service obligations for energy companies on the basis of public interest and overall economic interest, which has to do with: 1.1. Security, including supply security; 1.2. Order; 1.3. quality and supply price; 1.4. Environmental protection, protection of competition, including energy efficiency, energy from renewable resources and climate change. So we have held a meeting with the Energy Regulatory Office where we have applied and we have remained for further talks”, Cana said.

According to her, the other demand that has put in place the ovens is to clear the 5% interest rate from commercial banks where bakers are obliged to return the money in front of the letter to pay a 50% interest, which is unreasonable.

To increase quality control of products, many businesses that sell various products are selling and bread products at half price cheaper than ovens and poor quality, which affects the health of citizens”, the OAK official said.

Also another requirement not to be excluded, according to her, is the informal market where the production of bread without license is being made, where some businesses are operating without license, which is contrary to the law on commercial societies.

She said criteria must be met for opening furnaces and then open furnaces, because during the time of the opening of the business, it is required by the inspectorate to control equipment, products and other activities as anticipated.

Cenne Djurej from Furra Apollonia said they have a host of problems in which the problem of rising electricity prices and increasing the price of flour. He said the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo has accused us of being the oven that we've served the price of bread, but it does not have to do with ovens, but has to do with increasing the price of flour that the flour merchants have raised. According to him, the price has been raised because they have been working under production costs.

While Avni Muhadri of Furra Dreni said that we as producers are facing many problems such as raising the price of electricity and the price of flour and are the reasons that have forced us to raise the price of bread. He stressed that creating the regulator for determining the price of essential products would be good for coming and would protect us as producers so that it would not sell bread at the cost of production.

While Driton Martinaj from Furra Graniti cited the fact that salaries for baker workers are growing but lack professional workers, and in most cases are leaving the country to work outside Kosovo.

OAK would continue to stay close to businesses until they live up to their demands for them to function better.
