The cause of the malfunction of justice in the north is estimated to be 10,000 substances, at risk of another 6 thousand

The 10-year absence of courts and Prosecution in northern Mitrovica has caused thousands of subjects never to be treated by the justice system.

There are about 10,000 of those in northern Mitrovica and police stations there, which have been signed so far, KTV reports.

Many of these subjects involved criminal acts punishable for up to three years.

Many are dealing with various criminal acts, punishable by up to five years.

Syla says they have sought the assistance of the Kosovo Prosecutor's Council, so the prescription cannot occur.

The transfer of competencies from international to locals has made the Mission EUELX tow the prosecution back to Mitrovica a lot of unresolved materials, making the situation even heavier.

The chief prosecutor says every day he accepts outstanding materials from EULEX.

It has been a year since the court and prosecutors in the country's north have started working under the integration of the justice system in this part of the country, as part of the Brussels agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
