Until earlier a kilogram of white onions in shops were sold for 0.40 or 0.50 cents, now a kilogram is sold up to 1.19 euros. The red eyelid, on the other hand, was sold from 0.60 to 0.55 cents, now sold for 1.29 euros.
The price has been raised for goose. One kilogram of potatoes is sold from 1 euro to 1.19 euros.
High prices of these food products that are necessary and daily are also on the large market, KosovoPress reports.
Pates and onions, along with the ivy, are three agricultural products that are widely cultivated in Kosovo. Many times growers have even been forced to dispose of such products because they had no market to sell.
The price hikes have occurred weeks after the tax was imposed on Serbian products.
