Kosovo's refusal to accept the International Police Organisation- I NTERPOL makes it more difficult not only access but also the work and efficiency of the crime, smuggling and terrorism bodies.
Co-operation among police from various parts of the world is considered necessary in combating negative phenomena, which extend to many countries.
Kosovo Police spokesman Daut Hoxha tells Radio Free Europe that the fact that Kosovo is not a member of INTERPOL creates a vacuum of information because Kosovo police do not have access to this organisation's database.
Kosovo has no direct access to INTERPOL databases, which means any stolen car can enter Kosovo and we have no information. Any stolen document can be used across our borders and we don't know it, while even persons in international search can frequent Kosovo and we don't know”.
