Kurt's dilemmas of KSF transformation

Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti said tonight there are many questions about the transformation of the KSF.

In an interview for Rtv21, Kurti said the Kosovo government lacks budgetary commitment to this force.

“in the 2019 bill is earmarked only 58m euros for KSF. The budget dedication for the next KSF is quite flawed”, Kurti said.

Other issues Kurti said should be addressed is the extension of the KSF, and in this direction he criticised Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who said days ago that Kosovo has the KSF for peacekeeping missions abroad.

This displaces your soldiers when you tell them you have soldiers for another continent, not your country. As we deal with watching the table tennis ball with international statements, we have to deal with KSF skills. It should reflect our territory and population, but also the report with our neighbours, especially with Serbia, which daily threatens us”, he said.

Kurt welcomed last night's statement by US Ambassador Philip Costnet to KSF.

“Botti and substance of NATO is the United States, and the support they provided to the KSF transformation is very important”, Kurti said.
