Kosovo Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha told Radio Free Europe that a regular transformation of KSF has already begun.
The Security Force Transition is the first to last 10 years. Full operational capacity is designed to be achieved in the third phase. The entire process is envisioned in three stages, stage one before 7 plus 3. The second phase is 3 to 6 and the third is 7 to 10 years. This is a process that has been drafted even in co-operation with our international partners, with their experts, with our experts, and I think this process will be transparent even with friendly states and partners”, said Minister Berisha.
The transformation process is expected to pass through the implementation of three laws already adopted by the Parliament of Kosovo, which are part of the Law for the Ministry of Defence, the Law for the Kosovo Security Force and the Ministerial Law in the Kosovo Security Force.
