Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Fatmir Matoshi today has met with World Bank Office Manager for Kosovo and Macedonia Marco Mantovanelli, with whom he has discussed co-operation and investments in Kosovo's water sector.
He said the MMPH is ready to start with implementation of water reserves projects.
Kosovo, compared to the countries in the region, stands poorly on water reserves. We have to change this situation. All that is necessary and required of us as MMPH, we are willing to do so that as soon as we start implementing the water reserves projects”, Matosi said.
He showed a priority of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning for construction of collectors in Kosovo.
“Kremnata is one of the places where a water collection should be made. Dragachina is also in Suhareka, but there are other options. We are interested with you to select these” locations, Matoshi said.
While World Bank office manager for Kosovo and Macedonia Marco Mantovanelli said they are aware of Kosovo's need for investments in strengthening and securing water.
