Kosovo no visa this year, EU does not put on December agenda

The European Union's Council of Ministers has not put visa liberalisation on the agenda for Kosovo, bypassing once again the will of Kosovars to travel visa-free to the Schengen area. This has been confirmed by Integration Minister Gift Hoxha, who calls Kosovo's EU bypass unfair, [...]
This has been confirmed by Integration Minister Gift Hoxha, who calls Kosovo's EU bypass unfair because of their domestic policies. Reactions against this decision have also been made by citizens
Citizens of one of the most isolated countries in Europe are unable to move freely into the schengen area indefinitely.
Minister of European Integration, Gift Hoxha, has confirmed on RTK that Kosovo is not in the EU agenda for liberalisation in early December. She has said this is happening because several major European Union states, such as Germany, France and the Netherlands, are still reluctant to make the decision to abolish visas for Kosovo.
December 6th and 7th, the meeting is scheduled and what we are seeing is that because of the political will from these states Kosovo is not in the agenda. We've constantly called for the agenda. As we can see if you change anything at the last moment...”
On this issue analysts say part of the blame Kosovars today do not enjoy visa liberalisation, except for the EU, the institutions of the state have the biggest blame.
According to Adrian Colak, not the seriousness in fighting corruption and organised crime has led some states to be confident to be skeptical if Kosovo deserves free movement.
“May all fighting corruption whether fighting organised crime is some areas that we should look seriously at us, the ministers with accusation make these states hesitate...”
And denial of the right to liberalise students and other citizens is presenting huge problems to them.
Despite Kosovo's meeting the 95 criteria required by the EU for visa liberalisation, including ratification of the border agreement with Montenegro, these have failed to convince some EU countries to make decisions on the free movement of Kosovars.
