For 6 months citizens can legalise weapons, 260,000 are illegal in Kosovo
Members of KLA once fought guns for freedom.
And anyone who still has these weapons, depending on the category, can legalize this month.
But those who once served for war will today be used only as trophies, not as acts.
This is after the Ministry of Internal Affairs has decided to become the legalisation of A category weapons with the intention of deactivation, while B, C and D for pre-emptive purposes with gun law within six months.
According to Destan Mustafa, chief of the Weapons, Munition and Exploziv Division, such an initiative has been taken because of the large number of illegal weapons.
Such ones are full of 260,000 Sosh, according to a recent UNDP investigation.
Mustafa shows that those who submit to legalisation should be over 21 years, and know their criminal record...
During the period of this legalisation, Article 374 of the Penal Code will be suspended, from which citizens could be fined up to five years in prison, if fought with unlegised weapons.
And for T7, from Kosovo Police, show that within a year, 1200-1500 illegal weapons are confiscated.
In the first six months of this year, 15 murders of various weapons have been committed across the entire territory of Kosovo. But the police didn't tell us if these guns were illegal.
