In an announcement for RTK in the Serbian language, KFOR noted that it constantly monitors the situation on the ground throughout Kosovo and is fully committed to its mandate to ensure the safety of all citizens.
KFOR claims its forces are ready to be deployed quickly in all parts of Kosovo, and stresses there is no need to increase presence in a particular country.
The statement says KFOR is not involved in politics and political speculation “that sometimes suggest tensions at the political level. ”
There have been no threats or actions in recent days that affect security in Kosovo. KFOR invites all to behave responsibly, avoid provocations and refrain from any declaration or action that could lead to escalation,” said in the statement.
