Ismaili signs Plan: The Vaccines for Saving and Enhancement

The Health Ministry through a communique for the media reports that Minister Uran Ismaili signed today's Krismunization Strategy Plan (PSI) 2019-2021, which aims to unify the entire population of Kosovo to protect themselves from diseases that can be prevented through inoculation, as well as to ensure the greatest explanation with vaccine.

“Strateming Strategy 20192021 has been compiled as part of health reform, based on the 20172021 Health Sector Strategy, and aims to reinforce immunization services, ensure financial stability for procurement of vaccines and other means, equipment, construction of health professionals' capacities, education and health promotion, and presentation of new vaccines in line with U.S. and recommendations. NICEF:”, said in communiqué.

The aim of this strategic plan is to ensure the achievement of universal communication coverage.

We know that immunization saves many lives each year. This is a major achievement in the field of public health and great achievement in Kosovo as well. This strategic plan is in line with strategic developments for strengthening health services and providing quality and inclusive services to all Kosovo children”, Minister Ismaili said on the occasion of signing this plan.

He said that through programs as witnessed as inoculation, “would help and contribute to the achievement of the global communication agenda, as well as the achievement of sustainable development goals”.

Immunity is one of the areas of strategic importance for public health. Kosovo has a good vaccine programme and has reported a high degree of coverage since the post-war period of involvement about 95%.
