Ilir Deda: I no longer run as an MP, I don't want to be part of this policy

Alternative MP Ilir Deda through a publication on the social network “Facebook” has indicated that it is considering the possibility of failure to run in the upcoming elections, even though it is not yet known when they will be held, reports Periscope. The reason for this, according to the Deda, is the fact that “the general political and party environment [...]

Dear friends,
Thank you all for supporting me for years, without reserve or interest, in my party engagement. It's not been easy at all, but with your support we've always shown that our Kosovo can be progressive and honest, not customer and reformer.
I wouldn't be here today without you. But, the general political and party environment in Kosovo has been so degrading that the blindness of narrow party interests has killed any rationalness of statehood, where fleeing from responsibility to the state in politics is disguised with stupid party slogans.
Kosovo is passing its purgatory as from serious citizenship challenge in the international arena, to sharing two vital processes of dialogue with Serbia for potential final agreements and the launch of processes at the Special Court. That kind of challenge would have been hard to manage even the more developed and Italian states than Kosovo. But the opposition political elite, blinded by personal conflicts, does not want to give answers and take responsibility for our Republic of Kosovo. Instead of the political victory of Kosovo as a priority, it is the most important to us to win individual parties.
Therefore, I refuse to be part of this kind of policy, essentialally primitive and extremely irresponsible. And therefore, all political actions will be taken in accordance with the belief that we have primary responsibility towards citizens and the state.
In this case, dear citizens who have given me confidence in two mandates in the Kosovo Assembly, I announce I am also considering the possibility of failure to run in the upcoming elections.
This review of my further political commitment is not surrender, but an act of protest against the state-degrading spirit that has blocked the political scene in Kosovo.
