General hospitals in Kosovo do not provide many medical services, which are important to patients. Abdominal surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgeonology, tests and choreography are just some of the services that patients cannot receive in regional hospitals, so they also refer to the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK). This faces a large number of patients who cannot receive the necessary health services in their regions
Gjilan Hospital Director Nisret Hajrullahu has told “Zerin” that all medical services for patients are not provided at this hospital. According to him, in the absence of certain services patients refer to QKUK. “We don't have neurosurgeon, plastic surgery, Thracian surgery and abdominal surgery. These are the cases that are more complicated”, he said.
According to him, not even researchers and choreography in heart problems can be found at this hospital. “From which we transfer cases of politicum, neurosurgic cases of acute heart attacks, rare cases that are complicated, as well as cases for which we cannot make solutions to the General Hospital in Gjilan”, he said.
In addition to the Gjilan Hospital, other general hospitals lack certain medical services. In their absence many cases refer to the Emergency Clinic at QKUK, as well as other clinics. /zer
