After a visit to KEK, Haradinaj has commented yesterday's statement by the new US ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Costett, who said the evolution of KSF in the Armed Forces is a positive step and is more than natural for Kosovo as a sovereign and independent country, to have self-protective capabilities.
“The US demands as much stability in the region as possible. Costett is in line with the positions of other American officials”, Haradinaj said.
Later, he also spoke out of opposition that recently came from NATO for transforming KSF with the Law, without constitutional changes.
“NATO is an organisation of several security sites. One member's opinion does not turn into a decision. The decision is made when they agree. If this is a request that is not approved, nothing changes”, Haradinaj said./ P ERISCOPIA
