ship “NOKA” with the Syrian flag was anchored in Crete last Thursday and transported to the port of Anderinolakis of Sitia.
Authorities launched the full inspection of 18 of its containers after receiving information about a suspicious shipment.
Portal authorities found 6 tonnes of weed Wednesday evening (December 12th) on the double container floor.
Coastal guards received information from France about Sunday night's drug supply and began investigations in the early hours of Monday morning.
After two days of research, there was a noise within several containermen who betrayed traffickers just before the ship left.
The containers had a double layer of wood, and a load of hash was placed in the middle of it.
The ship had come to the Greek port from Lattakya, Libya.
18 containers carried in a wide range of goods, starting with clothing, shoes, and detergents.
According to Greek media, the company has denied any involvement in drug trafficking.
