Kosovo government announces [...]
The Kosovo government reports that the primary goal of this document concept is to regulate the area of the Fate Games, as it has been estimated that this approach alone lowers informality by 50% and tax revenues increase by 50%.
According to the Government, the fields of luck games in some cases have conflicted with the National Strategy for Prevention and Combating Unformal Economy, Money Laundering, Financing Terrorism and Financial Crimes, thus giving space to the informal economy.
Kosovo's government considers that 2019 will be a year of economic development, and that as a first focus it will have to combat the informal economy, money laundering and organised crime. The document concept is aimed at direct control of this area, increasing the efficiency of inspections and sentences. The document concept proposes several access options, and these will be analysed by financial experts and those of economic crimes to choose Kosovo's most favourable option. The positions that this government policy is about expanding this area are unstable, biased and will not be tolerated”, the Government's clarification said.
The agendas of informal interest groups will not stop the fight against organised crime and money laundering.
