German Ambassador to Serbia Thomas Schieb has said that without reconciliation among people in the former Yugoslavia, there is no future for the region.
In an interview for the Serbian daily “Danas”, Schieb has also spoken the reports between Kosovo and Serbia and the current situation.
He says unfortunately, the current situation is tense, but adds it is important that both sides refrain from the transition and resume talks.
“Even though, it seems, though, that the dialogue between the presidents Vucic and Thaci has entered the deadlock, I believe that reaching the comprehensive normalisation agreement between Serbia and Kosovo is possible. In my opinion, it is now important that both sides focus again on core topics that are important for improving the lives of people in Kosovo and Serbia. To be frank about different opinions and finally the solution. Much more important than the speed itself is that the final agreement is stable, that it be applicable and accepted by all”, the German ambassador to Serbia, Thomas Schieb, has stressed.
