Gani Thaci's driver, arrested with 113kg of heroin

Hashim Thaci's troubled driver is not stopping his problems with justice. A few weeks after he and his chief, Gani Thaci, went on to beat the director of the Insurance Bureau, Enis Qerka on Saturday was arrested for drugs at the border between Kosovo and Macedonia. The same is suspected to be part of the group that a week ago was seized with 113kg of heroin.
Four Kosovars have been arrested Saturday in Han, Elez. They've even had a BMW car confiscated.
Police action is the continuation of the December 2nd one of this year, where police seized 113kg of drugs in Pristina, with the case having arrested four Albanian citizens.
Among those arrested, in the second group, in Han Elez, is Enis Qerka, driver of Gani Thaci, the brother of President Hashim Thaci, the newspaper Express report.
Qerka and three others arrested, the Pristina Court has scheduled 30 days for detention Monday.
The detention measure against him and three other suspects, for Gazeta Express, has confirmed the Pristina Foundation Court.
“You've just been assigned detention to four suspects in the case you're referring to”, the judge's spokeswoman said.
In contrast to the 2 December action, when Kosovo police had also called for a press conference following the arrest of four Albanian citizens, the same was not done when the rest of the same group was detained Saturday, which among those arrested was Enis Kerka.
In that case, the police have only made a brief announcement in the 24-hour report.
“Linked to date 08.12.2018 were arrested four male K-Albanian suspects and as material evidence were seized: a FSL vehicle, several mobile phones, before and so on. At the prosecutor's order, suspects are sent to the holding”, police said on Sunday's report. /M.J.
