Police used tear gas and rubber bullets Saturday to disperse demonstrators.
Almost 1,000 people were arrested, but violence was not at the same level as the week before.
While Philippe said they should continue discussions with peaceful protesters.
No tax should jeopardise our national unity. Now we need to rebuild that unity through dialogue, through work, and by joining,”- He said it.
He added that President Emmanuel Macron will soon present measures to promote this dialogue.
