Letters to US President Donald Trump sent to Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Serbian Aleksandar Vuciq Hashim Thaci, the European Union sees it as a sign of the encouragement and support of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
That is what EU spokeswoman Maja Kocijanciq said.
“We see this letter as a signal of US support and encouragement for a dialogue that is under the auspices of the EU”.
“Dialog between Belgrade and Pristina leads the presidents Vuciq and Thaci with the mediation of EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, and with the US is a key “parter in the process”, she said.
Asked by journalists whether the US “nisma, whose officials supported the change of the Kosovo and Serbia border, is in contrast with the position of the EU Council and as such, more harms than assisting dialogue”, Kocijancic reiterated that the EU has clear parameters” regarding the possible solution to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
