Days earlier, the Kosovo Assembly headship made a decision that at the 14 December session, bills for KSF will be voted in.

Bills for the KSF are expected to be voted on December 14th.

However, the KSF's transformation into the Army has named a dangerous process the secretary general of the government. NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. He has said Pristina will face serious consequences if it continues with the transformation of the KSF into the Army.

According to him, this process is being led at an inappropriate moment and procedures are not being respected.

So is the European Union.

EU spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic in a response to the news has said the KSF's mandate should be changed only in line with the country's Constitution.

“The EU continues to share NATO's clear views that the KSF's mandate should be changed only through an inclusive process in line with the Constitution”, Kocijanciq has declared.

Meanwhile during the day, the country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has voiced confidence that the transformation of KSF into the military will not undermine Kosovo's relations with NATO.

He even argued that the transformation of KSF into the Army is in accordance with the Constitution.

The “Army creation or military mandate next week is the internal process is in line with our constitution, the most advanced in the world. A constitution that contains in itself all the values of democracy. We've had intense conversations with all the interested parties. The NATO alliance has great weight, it can express its opinions, but Kosovo is sure it will never endanger relations with NATO”, Haradinaj has said.
