Environmental organisation chairman “Echo Green Movement”, Jevdet Beleg, was attacked by a citizen in the center of the city of Pec while collecting signatures against the construction of a daily stand for third-aged people.
This facility has started to be built by the municipality nearly two months ago, in the space between the small city park and the culture palace, Koha Ditore writes today.
The construction of this object for pensioners is being rejected because the site used to be the city's cemetery and that location in Pec is known as the “gata”
To prevent further work on this object, environmental organisation “Echo Green Movement” launched last week's signature collection action in the city. But, as Beleg said, one is not enjoying the object's opposition to building in a country that, according to him, is absolutely not supposed to start building, with the reasoning that there are old cemeteries of Albanians in this city.
