It has been two days since the fund became active on Facebook, while an estimated 16,000 euros have been collected, Kosovo Preress reports. Initiator Valmira Hoti-Llabjan has told Kosovo pris that their aim is to raise 20 thousand euros, but that the amount is not limited. The goal of this fund is to come to the aid of the family the deceased has left behind, so his wife and daughters, and at the same time it is support for the work Kosovo police do to ensure the lives of citizens”, she said.
According to her, it is only a symbolic aid in addition to the loss suffered by the Demaj family, while showing that it has also found support from the diaspora Albanians. “We have great support from all over the diaspora and Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania and Eastern Kosovo. The funds are transparent, anyone can see the amount and names of those who donate”, Hoti-Labyan has said.
