Serbia's state inspectors, with police assistance, closed all cultural objects in Presevo on 16 November.
The cultural House target “Abdula Krasnica” in Presevo was closed with the reason for the lack of a Fire Protection Plan, KTV reports.
In addition to the House of Culture, the library “and Mehmet Jusuf”, the City Theatre, the Youth Office, and the Albanian Democratic Party's office have remained outside the post.
Among the closed institutions in the Presevo municipality is the first Albanian-language media in the Serbian state.
Zejnullah Dauti, a radio operator at Radio Television “Preseve”, says closing this object is irrational, as citizens are being damaged.
The users of this facility say all cultural activities have remained hostage. They express doubts about whether these institutions could be re-opened.
The citizens of Presevo have indicated that with the closure of these only five institutions, which have remained in this municipality, the Milosevic system has also returned and again discriminated against residents of this section.
Meanwhile, officials from the Presevo municipality say they are working in this respect and promise that within 15 days these items will be reopened.
Years ago in Presevo municipality, the Constitutional Court was closed. It was promised to open again, but this has not yet happened. Also, all commercial banks have fled, remaining only the Central Bank of Serbia.
