For the chairman of the Economic Development Commission, Infrastructure, Trade, Industry and Regional Development, Sala Berisha Shala, the statute was withdrawn due to the frustrations the Trepca Workers Union has had.

Berisha Shala in an interview for Online Economy states that he has not officially received information that Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka has handed him over to the Assembly.

“Initially when the Trepca statute in the Parliament has come from the Government, opposition MPs have not joined the working group, working for the Trepca statute, so that it can function Trepca. While having been disappointed by the Trepca Workers Union and the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Luka, he's pulled some form of a statute from Kuwait and agreed, made a deal with the Trepca Trade Union, and we haven't been behind the statute since. Now I've heard, I haven't officially received it as chairman of the commission, I've received information yesterday from the minister that he handed over to the Parliament the” statute, Berisha Shala told Online Economy.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo MP has said the commission it heads has managed to prosecute all bills.

Of the total 23 laws we have in the process of handling, 22 we have finished, none of us remain on the commission. So 23 we're finished as a commission, while 19 laws are in place, there are three laws that are awaiting only their vote in the Parliament”, Berisha Shala said.

As far as public company boards are concerned, besides the chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office board, which has remained from the session without being chosen, the COST board, for which Berisha Shala, has said the procedure for his selection will take place in the second week of January. Although opposition MPs had stated several times this year that the country could go to the polls, for MP Berisha Shala, Kosovo will not have new elections either in 2019.

The recently established <x0m>Klima, even with the adoption of laws empowering the Kosovo Army, but also taxes, has offered a better, more co-operative climate, I don't believe there will be elections next year. Even Kosovo does not have the comforts so often that elections are held, because except that they are financial costs, it is time costs, at the same time, well whatever the majority is to bring the mandate to the end and to know the responsibilities and responsibilities for everything, because in this climate it is remaining as generalised and the impasses of Kosovo”, Berisha said.

She added that it is better for the government's mandate to reach its end.

I consider that even for the opposition it is best not for Kosovo to hold such frequent elections, but to bring the mandate to the end and to see what government and what it has worked for, so that citizens can be clearer in this direction. Because at this time more is being seen as the opposition blocking processes than the majority that is not working in this direction. Therefore, it is also healthier for the opposition, but also for Kosovo citizens to have the mandate run to the end of”, Berisha Shala added to Online Economy.

Berisha-Shala has said that within the party there is no problem, while adding that the only problem is the insufficient number of MPs to postpone the processes ahead. While, it has said that Kosovo is in this situation due to recent elections.
