All three, on November 28th of 1997, were unexpectedly exposed to a mass of thousands of citizens attending the funeral of a teacher from Skenderaj, killed by Serb forces. They were told who they were. And the measure was electrified.
“From the womb of this people was born the Army for the Liberation of Kosovo, as the only serious force for realising the” ideals, Rexhep Selimi, who is interrupted by supportive cheers, said there. “U n The CK has been brought to the forefront of the war for the liberation of Kosovo”.
Officially, this is considered the first public appearance of the KLA, the guerrilla who stood before the armed movement of the people of Kosovo against Serbia's regime that for years exercised systematic violence against Albanians. The army was slaughtered. It listed some 18 thousand Kosovars, writes Koha Ditore.
Kosovo's one-year engagement, Serbia, has ended in June 1999, two years after armed resistance. It announced the surrender after a 78-day NATO military campaign.
Right After the War The KLA has agreed with NATO to disarm. This was done, confirming the Kumanovo Agreement, but also the Ramboullet Agreement.
