Opinion in Serbia has received NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg's message for the Kosovo Army as clear. They think Stoltenberg was quite clear: that Kosovo cannot establish the military at this time.
However, some analysts in Serbia think Kosovo will not listen to NATO.
Political Science Professor at Belgrade's International Faculty of Political Sciences Ilija Kajtez says Kosovo co-ordinates with Washington, writes Periscopi.
I don't think such a message will leave Kosovo without an army. The fate of forming the Kosovo Army depends on America”, he says.
But unlike him, Vladan Zivulovic, political analyst, who says he does not think the fate of the Kosovo Army depends on Washington.
I don't agree this depends on Washington. We have Resolution 1244, the Kumanovo Agreement and the Constitution, which says this army cannot be formed. The Kosovo government is taking this step because people there are desperate that they did not receive visa liberalisation, and the government in Kosovo is doing so to save itself”, he says. /Periscope.
