The U.S. Senate adopted a federal law on criminal justice reform yesterday evening, paving the way for the biggest changes in the US justice system for decades.
“First Step Act”, a two-party bill that has been processed with difficulty and intended to ease severe sentences for certain crimes, will give more space to judges in determining sentences for low-level criminals and improve prison conditions for women, broadcasts.
