In question of whether to condition Serbia with recognition of Kosovo prior to EU membership, Ambassador Scieb has commemorated chapter 35 for Kosovo
We expect that tomorrow the Kosovo Parliament will pass three laws, which will enable the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the military, the German ambassador to Serbia, Thomas Schieb, and has added that he hopes the situation will remain stable after this decision, the Metro.net newspaper broadcasts.
Schieb, according to Serbian media, in Belgrade's Faculty of Political Sciences Tribun has commemorated that Germany has recognised Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, and has added that it is common for sovereign states to be eligible in the army, though it has added that perhaps this has not been the most appropriate moment for military formation.
Responding to students' questions about whether Serbia's full membership in the EU will be conditioned with Kosovo's recognition of independence, Schieb has said that all 35 chapters must be fulfilled, and that one last, chapter 35 for Kosovo.
“Germani openly judges the 100 per cent tax imposed by Pristina on Serbian goods, and I hope that this dispute will be resolved soon, Schieb has said, adding that dialogue is now advancing, but that there is no alternative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina within the EU.
