Inaccuracies about the Grand Hotel in Pristina are continuing even after 12 years since it was privatised, as part of the process of privatising social companies. Until, the buyer of the Grand Hotel claims he has become unfair and that the judicial process is still continuing, the Kosovo Privatisation Agency (AKP), says otherwise.
Privatised in 2006 at a value of over 8m euros, the contracts forced the buyer of the Grand Hotel to make investments worth over 20m euros and employ 570 workers.
But, the failure to establish pledges on the part of buyers reportedly caused this social enterprise to get into confusion among Grand Hotel buyers Zylqif Berisha, owner of the company. NTP Unio Commerceı and AKP.
The Kosovo Privatisation Agency in 2012 attracted shares in the new Grand Hotel company and returned the company under its administration. This withdrawal of shares from the hotel's buyer, Zylqif Berisha is considered to have been done unjustly.
