Dusan Janjic, director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations in Belgrade, speaking of Radio Free Europe, says that the possibility of reaching a judicial agreement legally binding between Kosovo and Serbia is completely real. Research, according to him, has shown that 65 per cent of citizens in Serbia consider that a solution between the two countries should be found through negotiations.
Of course that will happen. Only this is about whether current conversationants will be in the process, taking into account their positions and possible choices. Personally, from what I know, it will take as soon as the dialogue for normalizing relations” returns.
This episode, which lasted several months or nearly a year and has introduced Kosovo and Serbia, Albanians and Serbs, in a very dangerous area for security, in distrust, confrontations and tensions nearly weekly, should gradually end. This is the prerequisite for turning to their commitments and meaning the first 2013 agreement that politicians have wanted to avoid, says Janjic.
According to him, politicians from both countries have tried to find a solution that saves and popularizes them to avoid obligations stemming from the accords. But according to him, they have found the wrong solution - changing borders or changing territories.
