LDK MP Vjosa Osmani has tried to break down the US State Department communiqué, released after the meeting Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, held at the White House with State Secretary Mike Pompeo.
According to Osmani, there are three important accents in the UN statement:
1. “The US reconfirms support for Kosovo's sovereignty”.
(meaning support for sovereignty in Kosovo's entire territory at the borders on which the US has recognised Kosovo).
2. “The US wants agreements with Serbia, which is implemented”. (that implies that the agreement should be acceptable to the people of Kosovo and to the Kosovo Parliament, because otherwise sʹka as implemented)
3. “The US seeks agreement with Serbia that boosts regional stability”.
(as long as the Russian-Serbian plan for border change is achieved precisely the opposite, so the destabilisation of the region and beyond).
