The official announcement of holding the session has come from the Kosovo Assembly.
The request for this session had come after foreign minister Behgjet Pacolli's appearance in New York, where he had come to the media's attention for some inappropriate moments.
“Since Kosovo's foreign policy is completely inconsistent with recent scandals in foreign policy which have seriously damaged Kosovo's image in the world, and given the normal functioning of the Kosovo Assembly, the LDK and LVV Parliamentary Group have submitted today the demand that calls for an extraordinary session with this point in line of day: Parliamentary Debat over failures and scandals in the foreign policy of the Republic of Kosovo”, a media communiqué submitted by the LDK said.
The reasoning on this requirement is said to be that foreign policy priorities, rather than long-term, are being changed to daily bases, thus creating confusion and distasteful situations in front of our international partners where stopping the process of recognition is just one of the consequences of this unrecognised, unprepared and harmful foreign policy for the state of Kosovo.
“also, since the Minister of Foreign Affairs does not respond either to MPs' interest in foreign policy issues, as he very rarely participates in the Assembly hearings, as well as the inability of MPs and the Parliamentary Commission covering foreign policy to carry out their duty as overseer of the country's foreign policy executive, it is required to hold the extraordinary” session, it was finally said.. /Periscopi/
